Top 5 Holiday Reads

Reading is my number one favourite thing to do on a beach holiday, I rarely find the time to read in my everyday life and so when summer comes, I jump at the chance. I was gifted a kindle by my mum and step-dad two years ago and I'm so glad I have one of these now because it is so handy! I used to be one of those people who would take 9 books in my suitcase for a week away and it took up half of my luggage allowance (Then there was less room for makeup and that is not okay..) so having a Kindle makes reading abroad so much easier for me!

I've found some amazing books over the past few weeks and so I thought I'd share them with you in case you wanted some new summer rom-com books to read!

I have recently discovered that Debbie Johnson is one of my favourite authors when it comes to a good romantic comedy and this one did not disappoint, it is probably my favourite of the five! The story is set around a family where the husband leaves (Don't worry, you find this out within the first few paragraphs!) and the family retreat to a holiday in Turkey. It is such a heart warming story with so much love, reality and laughs within it! It is one that I would very much recommend to all you ladies.

PIPPA'S CORNISH DREAM - Debbie Johnson
Another one by Debbie Johnson is Pippa's Cornish Dream, this book is great too however it is a shorter story than the first one mentioned! This book is a great story set on a farm in the countryside where Pippa meets Ben Retallick. The story has lots of ups and downs to it and a good back story to the characters too. Again, it's a rom-com!

I want to gush about all of these books because they are just so bloody brilliant but this one had me teary by the end as it is such a feel good novel! Weddings are a huge theme in this book and as weddings are something that I adore reading about, this only made me love it even more! The characters are people that I could really connect with and again it has a countryside theme to it.

Here she is again, good ol' Johnson! I loved this book SO much! The story was different to anything that I'd read before and not a typical romance novel. Debbie's novels normally have children at the centre of the stories and this one is no different with the story involving Nate and Lizzie, Laura's two children being very involved in the way the novel pans out. Again this is a story set in the countryside (I'm feeling a theme here..), with the family uprooting from Manchester to Dorset for the summer.
YOU AND ME ALWAYS - Jill Mansell
This book was at the top of the Amazon Kindle charts every time I have looked over the past month and so if that doesn't tell you it's a great book then I'm not sure what will! The story takes lots of different twists and turns with there being a good laugh and a cry in this book (What every good rom-com needs!) and I love it. The main character, Lily is great and is a character that I really felt for. My only slight issue with this novel is that the ending was rushed in my opinion, but I loved the story overall so don't let that put you off!

Will you be buying or downloading any of these novels for your holidays this year?

Mykonos Holiday

Myself and my boyfriend Bradley have just returned home from a week of absolute bliss in the greek island of Mykonos! We had the most perfect time, the weather was gorgeous (we saw two clouds all week!), the hotel was beautiful, the company was amazing and the island is breath taking!

The holiday weekly vlog from our week away has just gone up on my channel (Here) but I thought I would also share some of my favourite photos from our week away here.

The view from our hotel room

Eating our favourite meal of the week, veal with sweet potato mash (It was so dreamy)

Little Venice as the sun was setting

One of my favourite photos of us with the view from our hotel behind us!

The beautiful Mykonos streets, every street was like this

Drinking Mojitos on the holiday was a daily occurrence!

I love this photo that Bradley took of me whilst I was taking a selfie!

Our first night on holiday where we ate on the sea front, the waves even splashed our feet!

The sea was so clear which was amazing

Another Mojito...

Eating the most amazing fresh doughnuts on the beach

And finally, having the most amazing week away with my best friend.

I hope you guys enjoyed having a little peak into our holiday adventures, if you want to see some more pictures then be sure to check out both mine and Bradley's Instagrams down below!

Collection Contour Kit | Highlight & Sculpt

I popped into Superdrug recently and browsed the isles for anything new that caught my eye and this Contour Kit from Collection was on sale for £2.99 and so I had to give it a go! In fact a lot of the Collection range was on a promotional sale when I went in so definitely go and take a look at any of the bargains available.

This contour kit comes in one shade and has a lovely neutral contour shade, not too warm nor too cool and also a very pretty highlight shade, slightly on the more cool side.

I firstly used this in my Haul/First Impressions video (Here) on my youtube channel and fell in love with it as soon as I used it! The contour shade is unlike any that I own as it is a real neutral shade with it not being too cool as I find that most contour shades, to eliminate being a bronzer, end up really cool and ashy on the skin and it's not a good look! The highlight is also lovely but I find that the contour shade is what sells this to me!

April Goals

In this post I thought I'd talk about my April goals, I've been reading posts like this over on my friend Paige's blog (Link here) and so I thought that I would do a similar post myself!

Study hard for my exams
My first goal is to study and revise a lot for my end of year exams that start in May! Last year, by the time exams had come around, I had already decided that I was changing my university degree and so my exams didn't matter to me. I didn't revise for them and didn't study because I didn't have to! Whereas this year, I really want to do well! I have managed to get high firsts in every assignment I have completed so far in my degree and I don't want to let that slip when the exams come around at all!

Become more innovative with YouTube & Blogging
At the moment I feel as though my videos are the same as everything else on the internet and that I don't know how to differentiate myself! As the summer rolls in, I definitely want to start spending more time on my videos and putting more effort into them. I really want to grow my channel and at the moment, it's not really going anywhere with the content I'm producing. I also feel the same about my blog, however with here, I just want to get into the swing of posting and not just writing reviews!

Get fit for summer
For months now I've been saying that I'm going to start healthy eating and exercising, I even bought the exercise clothes, but I just haven't done it! Things keep getting in the way and I've been quite ill a few times too. After easter is done, I really want to try to loose a bit of weight and tone up! I'm going on holiday with Bradley on 29th June and I want to be looking good for then.

Spend more time offline
At the moment I find myself spending every spare moment online, whether that's on my phone or laptop, I'm constantly online. I really want to bring myself back from that and start to appreciate whats in front of me rather than what people are writing on Facebook or Twitter. I want to start reading my Kindle before bed rather than scrolling through social media and by summer I would really like to be in a routine of this.

Save some money
My last goal is to save some money! At the moment I seem to save a little bit of money and then a huge outcome that I had forgot about just comes out of my bank account and then I'm left with no money again! I just really want to save a bit with summer coming up and going on holiday. With exams coming up this shouldn't be too hard as I won't really be doing too much, well I can hope anyway!

What are your goals for April?!

Easter Treats | Haul

I popped into Superdrug to buy a few bits for a Haul/First Impressions video that I was filming for my YouTube channel and these were a few of the bits that I picked up!

Make Up Revolution Flawless Palette
I've hardly ever tried makeup revolution products, one or two here but one thing I'd never tried was the eyeshadows. I'm not interested in the dupes of the naked palettes as I have all of the urban decay ones anyway but this palette did tickle my fancy. The array of colours is super pretty and theres some really unusual shades in the palette too. After having a bit of a play around with this one, some of shades seem to be of great quality and some not some much but for £8, I'm definitely not complaining.

Collection Illuminating Concealer
I used to love this concealer and used it everyday and so I thought I would repurchase it after a few months of not using it! However, the Lasting Perfection concealer in fair seems to have replaced this product in my makeup routine. That one is a lot lighter in colour and is also thicker so covers more up underneath my eyes. I think I will go back to this one in the summer however as it is a lot more lightweight, especially for under the eyes.

Miss Sporty Stay All Day Concealer
I used to love Miss Sporty as a brand, I always used their black mechanical eyeliner when I was younger so when I heard Gabby talking about this concealer and how great it was, I thought I would give it a go! I really like this concealer and the colour is perfect for me, something which I struggle with in the drugstore. Most concealers lean too orange for me, but this one is perfect. The formula of this is light enough to blend in to the skin easily but it still covers everything that I want it too!

MUA Velvet Lip Laquar in Tranquility
My cousin Liv had this on around Christmas time and I fell in love with how it looked on her lips, it was so pretty! I've only just got round to picking one up myself but I'm so glad that I did. It's a beautiful Brown/Coral nude and the formula is that of a liquid lipstick, it's not sticky at all once it sets! I love these kind of lip products and I'm so glad that MUA have started making these as they are such an affordable liquid lipstick option.

Have you picked up any drugstore gems recently?

Rosie for Autograph | Highlighting Powder

The lovely PR people over at M&S kindly sent me over a handful of bits from the new Rosie for Autograph range a few weeks ago and I've been sat drooling at the packaging ever since. One product however stood out to me the most and that was the highlighting powder. It had been a while since I'd used a loose powder highlighter as nowadays everything either seems to be a cream or pressed powder formula, so I was intrigued!

The highlighter comes in one shade; Rose Bud and retails at £18.00 at M&S. Firstly, can we just talk about the packaging of this collection?! It is absolutely beautiful, everything is rose gold/copper and that is my dream. The product also has a mesh on top of the powder so that there is no mess when using the highlighter which is great!

I love the way this looks on my skin and the sheen it gives to my cheekbones. It's very different to anything else that I own and because of the loose powder formula, it applies so beautifully as well as looking much more natural on my skin than a typical pressed powder highlighter. The shade is warm toned, however not a gold sheen that most highlighters give off, it has much more of a rose tone as the name suggests.

As you can tell, I'm in love with this product and I'd highly recommend picking it up for yourself! I'm definitely going to be checking out some more of the autograph makeup range.

Nivea Mens Post Shave Balm Primer

When I first heard about using this product as a primer, I thought it was absolutely mental to be honest and couldn't understand for the life of me why anyone would do that! However I picked this up around a month or so ago and I've fallen in love with using this underneath my foundation.

Firstly, it smells like a man and that's fab if you ask me! It's got a light, gel-like texture to the product and goes onto the skin super smooth. It is very liquidy though and I've poured too much out of the bottle on many occasions.

Once applied, this sinks into the sink and dries super quickly which is exactly what I want before applying my makeup, I don't want to have to wait forever for something to dry! I find that makeup applies on top of this beautifully as well, I don't have any problems there.

This product really does make my makeup last, now we're not talking an extra 6 hours but I think it does help to keep things around for an extra hour or two personally. For the price of £5.35, it is an absolute bargain, especially for 100ml of product too!

If you're interested in using this product as a primer then I'd definitely give it a go because personally I love it!

'Get to Know Me' - Beauty Blogger Tag

I saw my friend Paige over at 'Beauty and Me' (Link Here) do this tag the other week and found it really interesting reading her post and so I thought I would answer the questions too!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is naturally straight with absolutely no volume to it at all! It is very easy to manage as I just run the straighteners over it and it's done, however I do have to try very hard to curl or get any volume in my hair.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to the salon?
I do a bit of both to be honest! I prefer going to the salon to get it dyed as it always seems to come out nicer than when I do it and its also a much nicer experience too!

3. Do you where the same style everyday or do you change it?
I normally just wear my hair straight and down, very boring! However I do curl it sometimes when I want it to look pretty!

4. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
I normally do my makeup on an everyday basis between 20-30 minutes but I can do a quick face of makeup in 10 minutes and I've also completed the 3 minute makeup challenge before!! If I'm going out on a night out with my friends then I normally spend between 30-45 minutes.

5. What do you do first, face or eyes?
I always do my base first, then my contour, then my eyes and brows, then I go back to my blush and highlight and then I do my lips! Strange I know!

6. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I think that I do a bit of both to be honest. I love makeup and so I have way way more than I need, 100%! But I don't see the point in collecting makeup and not using it just because it's pretty, that makes no sense to me!

7. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
I have actually never worn a pair! I have naturally long lashes and with mascara, they look absolutely fine to me. I also just couldn't be doing with pieces of material on my eyes, I think they'd really irritate me!

8. What are your current everyday makeup staples?
I've been obsessed with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop lately as it's just so beautiful and also the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette too, I keep reaching for it over any other blushers, it just has all the options I need!

9. Do you wear makeup if you're home alone or with family?
Most of the time I do because if I have a day free, I'm most likely filming a video on that day and so therefore I will need to have makeup on! However if I'm just having a complete chill day then I won't wear makeup. I'm very comfortable without makeup around everyone I know.

10. How many high-end products do you have?
I have a fair few I have to admit! Most of my skincare is high end and I do have a lot of high-end makeup, however I do have an equal amount of drugstore makeup products too.

11. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide in the morning when you're getting dressed?
I normally decide in the morning but sometimes if I'm going into uni early the next day, I plan my outfit the nigh before just so I'm not stressing in the morning!

12. How often do you change your handbag?
I use my Michael Kors Selma handbag all the time but occasionally I do fancy mixing it up, if I need a bigger or smaller bag or even when it gets warmer and I don't fancy carry such a structured black bag!

13. How often or when do you work out?
Literally never. I know thats so bad and I am trying to get into doing some exercise at the moment (I even bought work out clothes!!). I normally get into working out when it gets to March/April and I realise that I'll be going on holiday in the not so distant future! I really want to look good this summer though so I'm going to get on it!

14. Left or right handed?

15. How tall are you?
I always say that I'm 5ft 2" but actually I think I'm more realistically 5ft 1" and a bit.

16. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Not really, I did GCSE french but literally the only things I can remember are bonjour and je suis.

17. Sweet or savoury?
This ones hard because I do love myself some pizza hut cookie dough but I do love savoury food too! I probably couldn't pick because I just love the both too much.

18. What's your favourite perfume?
I have a few to be honest, I love Jo Malone Pomegrante Noir, Tom Ford Black Orchid, Paco Rabanne Lady Million, Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy, Giorgio Armani Diamonds, a lot basically!!

19. How many pets do you have?
I actually don't have any. We have a cat at my Dad's house but it was my step-mum's cat before they got together so I don't really count it as mine. Bradley has a dog though and as we've been together for nearly 5 years, I'll count her as mine ;) She's adorable!

20. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
I always read the comments left on my blog, especially now I'm getting back into writing posts for you guys! But I go through stages with reading actual blogs and so I also go through stages of reading the comments.

21. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I keep a list of products I want to try on the notes app on my phone but I only ever add to it when I really want something. I normally keep the tab open on safari on my laptop if theres a product that I really want!

22. How did you come up with your blog name?
I actually started off as 'Make-Up Addict 15' years and years ago and then I changed to gingerbread beauty (I know, what the hell?!) and that blog is actually still live, here. I then created my youtube channel whilst still writing that blog and called that 'JDRMakeUp' so then my blog ended up following the same name! I really love my youtube and blog name and am so thankful to my 15 year old self for choosing it!

23. What sort of camera do you use for your photographs?
I use my Canon 700D normally to take my blog photos which is the same camera that I use for my main channel youtube videos. However if I'm out and about, I'll use my Canon G7X camera that I use for vlogging. I use my iPhone 6 Plus for instagrams.

24. What's your favourite colour?
I don't really have one if I'm honest! I like pastel colours though.

25. Do you swear?
Yes, it's got worse since I got to uni too. I never used to swear though at all, said not one word!

26. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
It's actually 10:24pm whilst I'm writing this so theres not much of the day left! I'm going to get into bed, finish my weekly vlog and read some of a new book I've started reading called 'It's not me, it's you' on my kindle.

Hope you enjoyed reading this and getting to know me more!

Most Popular Concealer Ever?

This concealer has been raved about to a ridiculous level over the past year or so. Every single person and their dog has tried the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and there is so much hype surrounding this product.

I had wanted to try this for months and I finally got it as a lovely present from my grandma for christmas this year. I have been using it ever since and I love the formula, it is very creamy like the name suggests and blends in beautifully to the skin. I have the same vanilla too and it is such a perfect colour match!

However, I am not fully impressed as I have had this for just a month and a half and the concealer already feels empty, I haven't even used it everyday! It is actually ridiculous how little product there is left in the tube and I'm starting to think as to whether I have a dodgy one because its just ran out so quickly. There isn't much that come out on the doe-foot applicator and thinking back, even when I first got it, there wasn't much product on the applicator even then! I like a fair bit of concealer both underneath my eyes and on my blemishes and so this just doesn't suffice for me.

I had the Make-Up Forever Full Cover concealer a few months ago and that lasted me for an entire year, so I think I will be repurchasing that one instead of this!

Statement Necklaces | Happiness Boutique

Necklaces really do finish off an outfit, especially a statement one and thats why I love these two necklaces from Happiness Boutique. They're such beautiful necklaces and I adore the way they look with any outfit that I wear.

The marble statement necklace is so beautiful and different to anything else that I have ever seen in the shops. It really glistens in the light and retails for £22.33. Find it here: http://bit.ly/1Q5oymQ.

The second necklace is named the 'Snow White' statement necklace which I love, what a pretty name! This one is absolutely gorgeous and the white on it looks grey in some lights which I love. Find it here: http://bit.ly/1Q5oymQ for £19.24.

Happiness Boutique offer free worldwide shipping which I think is amazing and I also have a 10% discount code for you guys which is 'JDRMakeUp' and valid till March 4th.

*Happiness Boutique sent me these two necklaces for review purposes but all opinions are my own and I have been not been paid for this review.

The Easy Way to Contour

Recently I've started using a fan brush to contour my cheekbones and it's changed my makeup routine completely, it makes contouring an absolute breeze!

All I do is swirl my brush in my bronzer/contour powder and then swish the brush on my cheekbones to create a really natural contour. I find some brushes that I use to contour can be a bit harsh on my skin and the bronzer can look really stripy and fake whereas with this fan brush, the powder always looks really natural on my face.

To top it all off, this brush was only £3.45 from eBay!

The £2.99 Eye Shadow Palette

£2.99 for £15 eyeshadows?! What even! This little beauty is from eBay and is one of the beauty steals that I've purchased this month

I love the selection of shades in this palette as they are all very warm and they're the colours that compliment my skin tone best. The pigmentation of this is also very good for £2.99, some of the shadows are slightly chalky but who can complain for that cheap of a price! I love the burnt orange/red shade in the middle of this palette, its so unusual.

One thing that is very surprising is that this product is actually shipped from the UK and so only takes a couple of days to arrive, whereas the majority of cheap ebay finds are normally shipped from China and take weeks to arrive!

If you want to purchase this gem yourself, you can here.

Quote Wall

One of my favourite parts of my uni room has to be my quote wall. I love how pretty it looks  and I love waking up to it in the mornings! I designed some of these quotes myself and I also bought some of them on Etsy.

Before moving into my new house, I designed a few different quotes that I could put on a wall in my new room, I made the 'I Don't Have Dreams I Have Goals' 'You Got This' and 'Do Small Things With Great Love' quotes. They weren't difficult to do, I just downloaded some fonts that I liked off of dafont.com and played around with them until they looked right! I then purchased some printable quotes off of Etsy which was great as they were so accessible as I could easily and quickly print them off. The quote in the centre of my wall is one that Bradley bought me for my birthday and I love it. I love the meaning behind all of the quotes on my wall as they all make me feel very motivated for the day!

A lot of you also always ask me how I stick things onto my walls in my uni house as you're not allowed to leave marks on the walls when you move out and I use command hooks/strips. For these frames I used the strips which you stick to the back of the frame and press onto the wall. If these are removed correctly then 99% of the time they don't leave marks on the wall so they are great for university halls or any rented accommodation.

I love home decor and wanted to share with you my favourite of my room!

Jo Malone Body Cremes

At £50 a pop, a lot of people will question as to whether these body butters are worth it and I am one of those people. I've never purchased one of the body cremes myself, I have only ever been gifted them by family members however I do think they make a fantastic gift of luxury treat for yourself!

Pomegranate Noir
This is my absolute favourite scent that Jo Malone make, I have the cologne of this scent too. Jo Malone describe this scent as 'Dark and Enigmatic' and I totally agree with this, its a very rich and sexy scent which could be over powering to some. I adore applying this before going out in the evening for a meal, drinks or a night out because the smell just lingers for such a long time! I can still smell this hours after I have applied it and I think that this lasts for nearly as long as the colognes.

Nectarine Blossom & Honey
This was my first Jo Malone product and I had actually never smelt this scent before however I do really like it. This one is something that I'm more likely to wear on a daily basis as it has a very sweet and innocent scent. Jo Malone describe this as being 'Sweet and playful like Covent Garden's early morning market' which shows that it is a lot more wearable in the daytime compared to pomegranate noir.

The body cremes have such a luxurious feel to them from the glass jars they are contained in to the beautiful thick texture of the creme. They massage into the skin so well and keep my skin moisturised for such a long time!

I would buy one of these just for the scent if I'm honest because the smell is so potent from them as well as lasting for such a long time on the skin!

Sticker Crazy

I am a bit of a stationary geek and around the end of 2015, I started to get really into planning my weeks out and using stickers to do this. The 'Planning Community' is one that many people don't know about or think is kinda strange but it's full of stationary, organising, planning and stickers (search for 'Plan With Me' videos on YouTube to get a feel for what I'm talking about).

After finding the planning community on youtube, I delved into the world of Etsy to find lots of customisable planners and stickers to decorate those planners with! I purchased a planner from PlumPaperDesigns on Etsy however it is yet to arrive. After buying a planner, I decided to start browsing for stickers that would enable me to make my planner look pretty as well as very organised!

I bought stickers from two different shops on easy, Plan With Jade and Stickel Co. and I was very impressed with the stickers I received from both of these shops. I got some headings stickers to pop at the top of every day in the planner to help me organise things I need 'To Do' or 'To Buy'. I then bought some to-do stickers with little check boxes on the side as I find checking off tasks very satisfying! I also picked up some stickers to fill up the plain boxes in my planner which will make it look very pretty and decorative!

I was also sent a set of stickers from Pipsticks which is a subscription service for sticker lovers (I know, cool right?!) and there was lots of cute stickers in this pack such as emoji stickers and there was also little quote cards in there too which was a nice added touch! I love this idea as I absolutely love stickers and stationary and would love one of these subscriptions through the post every month.

I know it's a little bit sad how many stickers I've bought but they're just so pretty and I can't wait to start organising them when my planner arrives!

My Skincare Staples

I absolutely love skincare, I invest a lot of time and money into skincare products and I have definitely found my favourites along the way. I have combination skin that is spot prone at that time of the month. In the winter months I struggle with dry patches on my face as I have eczema and it comes into full force in the winter.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
This is my all time favourite skincare product and I absolutely swear by this gem. I use this every single night without fail before I apply my evening moisturiser. This serum is good skin in a bottle in my opinion, it just makes everything very 'nice'. For me, this brings some luminosity to my skin whilst also keeping spots and pimples at bay. When I don't use this, boy do I notice! My skin turns into a complete mess and everything starts to look the way it did when I was 13! As you can tell, I love this product and I would not be without it.

La Roche Posay Serozinc
This product is a newer product for me, I have probably been using it for the best part of 8 months however. It is a strange product as it seems to just been that of a hydration mist but it does so much more than that for my skin. This product is full of such goodness and is predominately made from zinc sulphate. I find that this product helps to keep blemishes and spots away from my skin, it is a preventive agent so that not only does it manage spots when they arise, it also prevents them from even happening. I definitely notice when I don't use this product and my skin absolutely loves it!

Origins Super Spot Remover
This is my little saviour when those pesky spots do arise. It comes in a tiny pot and I just pop some of this onto any spots on my skin and this helps to get rid of them in the click of my fingers. This is by far the best spot remover I've ever used however I would love to try out the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and see how they compare.

Hylamide Multi Depth Hydration Booster
I brought this on a complete whim in boots one day, I normally use Indeed Labs Hydraluron and I decided to give this a go instead and I am glad I did. The two compare quite well and I don't believe that there is too much difference between them but I do love the Hylamide product (mostly because it has a pipet). I love these kind of products because they hydrate the skin from the inside which always seems to work for me. Hylamide says that this is a 'Hyper-strength rehydration serum with 5 forms of hyaluronic compounds' and this works fantastically for me. Since using this, my skin hasn't become overly dry in any place on my face and it looks healthy and youthful.

La Roche Posay Effacer Duo +
This is an oldy but a goody for me. There is nothing else quite like this on the market in my opinion and it does wonders for keeping the spots away from my skin. This product will always be a staple in my skincare routine because every time I run out of this, every spot on the face of the earth decides to pop onto my skin! I even have a back-up of one of these in my draws, that's how much I don't want to be without this. It is applied all over your face as a serum and I use this every single morning after the Serozinc. If you have sensitive skin, I would say to be wary of this as it can be quite harsh and can sting my skin if I have any dry/sensitive parts on my skin.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my favourite skincare products and the ones that I would not be without! I still haven't found my holy grail morning and evening moisturiser though so if you know of any great ones then let me know in the comments!

Origins Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

This is one of Origin's newest masks and as I have tried all of the other Origins masks, I thought it was only right that I tried this one too. This mask is described as a 2-in-1 mask with exfoliating beads and it helps to gently deep clean whilst giving a glow to the skin.

I absolutely love the smell of this mask, it smells of roses and that is one of my favourite smells (It always reminds me of Lush's Rose Jam Shower Gel!). The mask goes on as a thick clay mask but also has exfoliating beads in it too which is lovely when taking the mask off, it's also pink so thats an added pleasure!

The mask has 100ml worth of product in the tube which fantastic value for money, I never go through a whole face mask anyway (Probably cause I have too many!)

I find that this mask cleanses my skin so well and my face always feel so clean after I have washed this mask off. It also gives a lovely glow after using it which is a really lovely plus when using this.

I would 100% recommend giving this mask a go, it's just as amazing as all the other masks from Origins!

Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten

I've never really looked into Laura Geller or tried much from the brand so when I received the Laura Geller Baked Beauty 101 set for Christmas, I was really excited to try the different products included in the set. I loved everything included in the set but I especially fell in love with the blusher that was included called Pink Grapefruit.

Laura Geller says that The Blush-n-Brighten creates a gorgeous flush and it's also paraben-free so great for you sensitive skin girls out there!

After receiving the small size of the blush in Pink Grapefruit, I decided to purchase another shade from the brand in the colour Rosebery.

Pink Grapefruit is described by the brand as having rich tones of beige, mauve and shimmering pink which I agree with. It really gives such a brightening look to the face and and goes with so many make-up looks.

Roseberry has soft tones of rose and a touch of gold, which looks beautiful as an all year round type of blush. This is more pink toned whereas pink grapefruit is more berry toned, differing from their names!

Overall these blushes are very beautiful and apply so well on top of my foundation, they're so easy to blend and look beautiful on the skin. Out of the two, I'd have to say Pink Grapefruit is my favourite but I do love the both of them.
